On August 28, 2021 we had the pleasure of Maya (Flisa) arriving at our home as our first and forever kitty. She was very shy and scared of humans, frequently hissing and hiding in the beginning.
Slowly but surely, she explored the home, started marking her favorite spots and made it hers too. It took several months of making her feel safe but she beautifully blossomed into the most cuddly, playful and trusting cat ever with us. She likes to hang out next to us on the couch, look out the window, hang out on the cat tree, play around the house, relax in one of her many cat beds and sleep next to us.
She built a great relationship with all our friends who frequently visit us and was very welcoming to any cat sitters when we are away. She transformed into a different cat and likes to actively be around us most of the time. She loves being brushed and that is our favorite shared activity on weekend mornings on our bed.
We are grateful to all the love and light Maya has brought into our home. She has even welcomed a new cat friend, also from the cat home, as her companion to share our space. She helped the kitten grow into a strong confident cat. Having Maya in our life has been the greatest gift and we are very lucky that she chose us as her forever home.
