Hello there,
I wanted to update you on how Darren and Doria are settling into their new home. It has been almost 6 weeks now. It has been good that I am working from home as they have been able to get used to me being with them.
I have seen such a huge improvement in their confidence over the weeks . They arrived quite scared and spent most of the time under the sofa for the first few days. Soon though curiosity got the better of them (Doria especially) and she was tentatively coming out to sniff around.
Fast forward 6 weeks and they are King and Queen of the home, eating well, sleeping most of the day (as cats do) and coming out for playtime in the evenings. Darren enjoys strokes and seems to be very good at stretching out and enjoying life. Doria has started to let me stroke her now too. They are still a little jumpy at times but seem much more relaxed and comfortable. They especially like climbing their tower and snoozing as the sun hits their bed in the early evening. They also really love old trainers, the smellier the better!
They are two peas in a pod, with Darren running to Doria's side when she summons him! She is definitely the "Boss" despite her tiny size.
They are much-loved already and it is so heartwarming to see them gradually come out of their shell and reveal more of their personalities.
