Kim 2 & Maja 12

Dear Friends at Katthemmet,
It has been one year since Maja and Kim (now named Buddie) have moved in with us and made our house a home. Blake and I wanted to write a 'thank you' message with an update on how the cats are doing, and of course a bunch of photos.
Maja has had a huge transformation from the fearful cat she was a year ago. Now, Maja is the queen of the house and spends her time lounging in the center or the bed or on the couch. She loves cuddles and purrs so loudly you can hear her from a room away. She likes to cuddle on the couch with us while we watch TV, and she likes to sleep on her back while we scratch her tummy. If we aren't giving her enough attention, she will let us know by walking into us and rubbing her body against our legs. She likes to play and runs back and forth with Buddie around the apartment. She also loves her scratching post.
Buddie is so sweet and gentle, and he likes to always know what is going on. When we bring anything new into the house he is the first to inspect it. He likes sitting on the windowsill and watching the birds. His favorite bed is a piece of cardboard! We have bought cat beds and he just doesn't care about them...he only wants to sleep on his cardboard. He recently learned that he loves cuddles too...and even jumps up on the couch for his morning cuddles when we first wake up. He has learned to purr and is much less skiddish. He is super into playing and loves his toys! He wrestles with Maja, and they chase each other like they are playing tag. Buddie LOVES food so we make sure to give him lots of healthy treats.
Both cats have grown so much and become much more brave and less anxious over the last year. We are still working with them to be more comfortable with friends who come over to the house, and we are teaching them how to be picked up and held.
We love them so much and can't imagine our lives without them. Thank you for everything that you do, and for taking care of Buddie and Maja before they found their forever home with us :)
